Polish Happy Hour

This month’s Polish Happy Hour is going down Friday at Cinema the Brasserie (2 East 45th Street between Fifth and Madison Avenues), chosen because it is owned by a Polish woman and her Greek husband. The event begins at 7:30 p.m.

Drink specials include $6.00 martinis, $5.00 sangria, $5.00 tapas and pizza, and $4.00 hamburger sliders.

The Polish Happy Hour started up in 2000 in Washington, DC, and has since expanded to include circles all over North America – Chicago, Toledo, Orlando, Ottawa, Toronto, Los Angeles, San Diego and Philadelphia, with Boston in the works. They bring together young professionals and others interested in Poland or interested in speaking Polish. Native speakers come, as do language learners, but many also only speak English and come for the atmosphere.

To get involved with the Polish Happy Hour, you can
join the email list to get updates, and view the galleries of past NYC events. In New York, Polish Happy Hour is held on the second Friday of each month at a different venue. Currently, 100 people receive the invite and about 75 show up to events. Contact NYC@polishhappyhour.com for more information.
